The following courses-subjects with duration of 30 hrs (with examination and evaluation) are part of Academic Training for Arts and Design course programmes. These subjects may be taken by applicants without examination and evaluation as "Open-training programme" as well.
General Introduction: For the medium of Oil and Acrylic (during 2 to 4 levels for each) these courses are including Classical and Modern paintings. Classical painting introduces the paintings, artists and techniques that have created time honored tradition within classical painting from the Renaissance to the Impressionist period, including Leonardo Da Vinci, Caravaggio and Degas. Students will develop skills in rendering accurate value relationships, “true to life form”, color, proportion, scrambling, glazing, painting “alla prima”, control and texture. The course places emphasis on utilization of value, hue and intensity to convey a sense of light and form. Students will develop critical thinking when engaging in problems and issues in painting. Also, Modern painting explores the historical sources of the abstract painting including both modern and post-modern variations that has been resulted from desire to express a spiritual reality from the representational world to a non-objective one. The course will experiment with techniques and language by combining paint and the formal elements of design, including line, shape, form and color. Through these courses, students will be able to develop their creative painting skills by creating a piece of art that reflect what they think, feel and imagine.

Classical Painting (I, II, III, IV)
Students will be introduced to the paintings, artists and techniques that have created time honored tradition within classical painting, including Leonardo Da Vinci, Caravaggio and Degas, etc. Students will develop skills in rendering accurate value relationships, “true to life form”, color, proportion, control and texture. Abstract Painting (I, II, III, IV)
This course will experiment with each students own techniques and language by combining paint and the formal elements of design, including line, shape, form and color. Through various projects and lectures, students will develop a nonobjective approach to the elements of design. By this course, students will be able to develop their creative painting skills by creating a piece of art that reflect what they think, feel and imagine.

Cubism Painting (I, II)
Students will study the historical development of Cubism that revolutionized European art during the 20th century. The main innovators of cubism, Pablo Picasso and Georges Braque will be studied. Students will develop the cubist techniques and methods of depicting objects from various viewpoints through angular, random pieces. Through various projects and lectures, students will develop their own style and interpretation of this type of painting method.

Creative Painting (I, II)
Students will undertake a range of exercises and projects in order to examine the range of possibilities available through creating painting. Students will produce work based on observation of colour, tone and texture, as well as creative work from their own imaginations.

The courses with single titles and duration of 20 hrs training; with (for certificate) or without (for attendance certificate) examination and evaluation.

Oil Painting (I,II)
(I) Still life (II) Landscape: Students will take part in practical course where a range of exercises will be practiced and mastered. Once competent, students will begin to apply these exercises to more complex paintings.

Acrylic Painting (I, II)
(I) Still life(II) Landscape: Acrylic paint is an opaque medium used to create thick layers of flat colour or complex gradations of tone. Students will be introduced to the various ways of applying, mixing and thinning the paint and produce work based on the exercises they follow in class.
Subject Training:

Here means a single title and duration of 3-15 hrs training; without examination and evaluation for regular workshops, with examination and evaluation for expertise workshops.

Creative Painting - Grid Composition
This workshop has been programmes like an intensive short-course and will experiment with techniques and language by combining paint and the formal elements of design, including lines, shapes, forms and colors. Through this programme, students will be able to find and understand how to develop their creative painting skills by creating a piece of artwork that reflects what they think, how to feel and use their imagination.

Creative Painting - Image Transfer
A collage art work is a fascinating composition of different materials with various colours that can be set to express idea and feeling, to convey a message or even for decoration purposes. It is a design created by adhering different materials to a surface and its result can be a three dimensional art work also. This process was widely used by cubist artists and is a popular technique in the contemporary art.

This workshop has been programmes like an intensive short-course and will experiment with techniques and language by combining paint and the formal elements of design, including lines, shapes, forms and colors. Through this programme, students will be able to find and understand how to develop their creative painting skills by creating a piece of artwork that reflects what they think, how to feel and use the imagination.

Creative Painting - Wash off Technique
This technique is an exciting technique that produces a textural effect not unlike that of a woodcut or lino prints.

Creative Painting - Antique Technique
This workshop has been programmes to make fascinating motifs and infinity repeatable patterns by combining, overlapping and repeating Islamic Geometric shapes. Students will learn how to use the Islamic patterns in an abstract and textural way through layers of colors and textures to build up richly layered effects of creative artwork with an own-style.

Creative Painting - Cubism Composition
This technique is an exciting technique that playing with violations in shape and forms to create the Cubism composition likes Picasso. This workshop will be useful for both those who are beginners or/and those artists who wants to develop their techniques.
